 Thanks anyway. Uploading 410 photo's now. Taken from about 1/4 mile from the finish, and I don't know what you lot were doing out there but you look very muddy ! Knowing 424 of you finished means we did miss some of you...but don't panic as I have other photo's coming.

Hi, before I place my order will there be more photos? The ones at the finish are great- I actually found a smile. It must have belonged to someone else as I don't remember having one at that late stage in the race. I found mine after my long soak and the hot chocolate!
Also I cannot believe that most of the mud only went up to my thighs! It felt like Maldon Mud Race in parts!

Thanks Karl for all the prompt replies and feedback. This has helped so many be well prepared and the first-timers like myself have confidence to try something new. I 'managed' the run, not as fast as I can run but much further than I have raced before. I am brimming with confidence.

I haven't trawled through the photos yet, you have to look at them one by one I think [?], but totally agree with Sister D. This has got to be the best event for participants I have ever entered, with the online support from you Karl.

As a last update for 2009, all the RESULTS FROM 1991 TO PRESENT DAY have now been uploaded in readiness for our 20th anniversary next year. Thank you all for your support of this race, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2010.

2.04.42 back in 1993, and I have not got within ten minutes of that time since. As I remember, it was cold and sunny, and fairly firm underfoot, and I set off faster than I do now, and needed to accelerate across the downs in order to clear the ditches. Since then it always seems to have been muddy and soft when I have been reasonably fit (like this year), or good going when I have not. These things are sent to try us, but maybe next year...
