Alternatives to Nike Air Zoom Skylon
Losing faith with Nike's corporate direction

It seems that, in the not too distant future, all Nike shoes will be adapted for Ipod pedometers.

Great news for Ipod wearers - and Nike /Apple take deserved plaudits for a clever and no doubt commercially successful innovation.

However I'm concerned that the midsole performance will inevitably be compromised by the modification. Whether it is 10%, 1% or 0.01%, I don't think I could buy a shoe designed with anything other that running in mind. And so it is with some regret that my love affair with the Air Zoom Skylon may be coming to an end.

Anyone care to suggest (non-Nike) alternatives for a reasonably light, neutral everyday trainer?

Bu66er.

Meant for the Gear forum.

Me and computers just don't get on. Probably why I could never get an Ipod.....

Quote from Njord's link:

"Nike has also confirmed that the iPod compatible Nikes will be more expensive than the non-compatible ones."

Should try reading my own links properly.

So Nike shoes will be available in two flavours - vanilla and mint choc chip. Tasty.

/slopes off in embarrassment and tries to make-up with Skylon.
