Does anyone live near Severn Bridge and can give me a lift from Pilning to Sedbury Cliff (near Chepstow) on Tues 1 September 6-7am? I'm parking my car at a friends house in Pilning, but need to get to the start of Offas Dyke and don't really fancy running an extra 10miles to the 177miles I have planned! Many thanks Daz PS - not running whole way - its an experiment. Will be run/walking and taking a 3hr bivvy on the first night.

Thanks If you're interested, I'm knocking up this little webpage that will have a live (twitter) feed on it - i'll send from the mobile every 1-2hrs. http://www.target-fitness.co.uk/offa.htm I'm not sure if I'll get around, especially in <48hrs but it'll certainly be an experience and prob hardest thing I've ever done. I'm no ultra runner! Daz

Daz - you're doing this in Inov-8s?? I know you're a forefoot runner but I would have thought road shoes would be better given the hard surfaces off-road at the mo.......
good luck matey

 "I'm no ultra runner!"

FB, I'll be running in the roclites up to Hay (50M), then I will probably swap for my cushioned mizuno elexir. Only prob will be running the hills at night....have to watch my step.

Daz, assuming you're not still out on Offas Dyke....., how did the run go?
|
 |
In case he doesn't read this - he had to pull out with a sore knee
|
 |
 ah, ok.. thanks Maddy

Hi Atom, Yep I pulled out officially after around 80miles. Damn right knee went and could only limp. After coupleof hours sat in back of a baptist church at 4am the adrenalin dropped and the body crashed. Game over after that. But I loved it, off-road over hills under a full moon is awesome. Can't wait til next year!
