haha, yeah i was going to say something along those lines. there's only so many things you can say about running and only so many "your best [insert distance here] in 3.78 weeks" plans you need. still, i found it useful to get started. i remember being so fat when i bought my first rw (after being inspired by supporting the flmers) i was dead embarrased and hid it under the newspaper till the last moment.

ah, nice photo there smithy. of course i haven't actually seen the magazine for years now adn i do appreciate the forum not knocking the hard work that goes into it. 220 has the same problems too except they've got the benefit of waxing lyrical about the latest speedy kit.
