Hi,

Does anybody know where the race results for this race are going to be put up online? I've managed to find results for previous years but the website doesn't mention the 2007 one as an upcoming event.

cheers.

Try www.theresults.co.uk. Heard the chip timings were out by up to a minute but mine were accurate.

A lot of chip times are recorded as the same as the gun time -impossible when you start about 75 metres from the line as I did -have to rely on watch time. That will disappoint someone starting well back and relying on the chip timer

cheers steve.

if they didn't record the chip time untill those people with the batons after the finish line swiped you then mine will prob be about 10-20secs out, as i thought you had to just pass under the gantry as it said in the pink leaflet. oh well i got 50:00 i was running it mainly as training for some 5km's coming up

Really enjoyed the run. Only my second 10k and to start and finish in the stadium was cool. The spectators were a massive help too, especially over the last half km or so.

I did my first 10k a month ago (Liverpool/Wirral Tunnel Run) and got 50:43 even though I stopped a couple of times. I ran today right through, no stopping and at a quicker pace than last time I'm sure. Thought I was a banker to come home inside 50 minutes. My official time says 51:50 which has left me confused!!!

Not to worry. Really enjoyed it and will get some training in before the Preston one in a couple of weeks.

Will definitely run this again next year.

Thanks for the results link - they have put chip time and actual time, not sure how they've done that ......? Anyway, was a bit gutted as the time was slower than the Bupa GMR (by 39 seconds on something!), maybe I was less inspired by City's ground than by Old Trafford ;-)! Good race but didn't enoy the route much!

Cheers nick.
I never had my name on my number,as it never said anything in the joining instructions, the guy waved his baton over my number when i finished so i hought everything would have been ok. Ive tried inputting my race number which was 1342 but no joy. enjoyed the race

I cant find you either- but if you were number 1342 there seems to be a discrepancy on the results as they only show 1114 finishers.

I'm sure there are a number of people who dont show up or fail to finish but assuming you were the highest issued number (at 1342)thats 228 not on the results list.

I'm sure I heard an organiser say they had 1500 entries so there potentially is a lot not on the list.

Nick

I did see people with higher numbers than me at the stadium so maybe something went amiss with the chip system?

My chip and gun time were the same even though I started way back - the funniest thing is that I ran with my sister all the way till the end - I finished before her but she has her chip time as a minute faster than mine! Oh well serves me right for not replacing my running watch prior to the race. I think I managed a PB or close to it but just guessing.

seems chip timing not accurate

however, my watch time was 49 mins 32 secs and chip time wa 49 mins 28 secs, which was close enough as i started my watch a bit early.

first time under 50 mins, did the freckleton half marathon last weekend so this 10k seemed to fly by.

much prefer km markers to mile markers!!!
