Has anyone seen these.  http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/06/adidas-springblade-shoes-with-actual-springs-might-be-a-good-idea/

Not really my cup of tea but wearing these I could actually claim to be 6ft tall!

soon to go the way of the addas one. They really should just stickto making 'proper' trainers.

£350!!!

But these ones are much better imho ... for less than half the money too.

Time was when Adidas used to make running shoes.

Been a while since originally discussed, but just had a marketing e-mail, advertising the Adidas Springblades for £130 and was just interested if anyone had actually tried them and if they perform as ridiculously as the look...?

No doubt they will be far too narrow for me to ever know

You don't need to try them to know that, Chewie.  Just looking at them it's clear they'll just clog up on anything that's not clean tarmac, and I'm not sure I'd like to try turning a corner in them.  Structurally there are some obvious fatigue points and I can't see them lasting very long.  Anyone paying £130 for them, well let's just say I have a bridge for sale.
