can't get garmin to detect HRM

My 405 won't detect the HRM- was fine until I stopped using it for a few weeks, now no signal- have tried replacing battery (twice), bought new HRM, still no joy..............................any ideas? Do I have to pair it again, if so how?

Ahhhh- think I've got it- menu- settings- ANT+- accessories- enabled YES- rescan!
