I like my man in lycra, but he's got a very pert butt!

And I think anyone doing exercise is allowed to wear lycra, whatever their shape. They might not look the best but comfort is key, not other people's opinions.

I think I may a running faux pas the other day. My rule is if im wearing running tights I wear a baggy t shirt. If i'm wearing shorts I wear a tight (Base layer type) T shirt. However I wore running tights and a tight t shirt. Is this just me? or being head to toe in lycra in anything but cycling a bit strange?

It's just you. Much more comfortable to be in tight-fitting clothes.

I know where you're coming from Vicar.  One of my club mates does the lycra-all-over look, and tends to prefer darker fabrics. Running round the track he looks like a cat burglar.

I try to avoid the all-over unless I'm doing a duathlon, then the only option is the onesy-gimpsuit.

Totally agree with literatin. I hate flappy t-shirts and don't think I could run/cycle in anything but lycra shorts.

I like to think I look like a NINJA.

My wife can never wait to get me out of my lycra.....

It's all down to intent.

Wearing Lycra because you are exercising and its the most functional, practical option - fine.

Wearing Lycra with the intention of posing and pulling - yuck. Makes me think of White Goodman in Dodgeball, wearing his Globo Gym Lycra, and using a bike pump to inflate certain areas of his person before the fit accountant came to see him.

I swear to god there was a bloke at the gym in his old PE kit.
Off white silky shorts.
Off white vest.
Pumps.
Ponytail.

He did an oarsum 2 mins session on the rower and went off.

I wear lycra cos i run/cycle/spin and its the most functional kit. I cant see it ever being an accessory for pulling. The bright red face and sweating isn't a particularly good look.

I have had my backside pinched at a couple of major events, so I guess some women appreciate the lycra look!

LOL!  Really?

Yes.

Apparently the sea of lycra clad bottoms is too much of a temptation for some ladies to resist.

Was it definitely pinched by women (as opposed to men or just one particularly enthusiastic woman)?

In both cases the crimes were the work of a single overzealous woman.

I am sure that all the ladies on this forum are much better behaved!

Not necessarily...
