I think with the addition of some black wool they would indeed look like gorilla feet!! as I said - they look very odd when you look down at your feet when wearing them............

and - not that much protection I have to say - the vibram does come under the toes but fabric covers the you still need to be careful..............I am used to wandering around barefoot at home (and in the office) so I guess I am automatically in defence mode to stubbing.........

I've given up online and found a last pair in a local blacks. They're out of season now :(

Are they washable? or you'd have to wear those equally crazy toe socks with them. And bad luck if you've morton's toe!

Don't look suitable for running, where's the medial arch support, unless you're really light and neutral..

They look fun though and I am tempted (one can never have too many pairs of sports shoes)

Has anyone actually done any running in these then I have three pairs and find them really comfy and wear them as much as i can but have yet to dare wear them to the running club training sessions.

Anyone seen the 2 new versions on the vibramfivefingers web site, the sprint seem like they will be much more suited to running, must confess I haven't used the ones I bought last year (classic) for running or even worn them much at all, just dug them out yesterday to start getting my inbetween toes used to them. Still wearing vivo barefoot for day to day and either wearing h street or nb rc230's (xc replicas) for road running and mountain bear gladiators for off road running.

Well spotted, moor man. They do look interesting, though I expect it will be hard to source them in the UK.

Perhaps if anyone is near one of these shops?

Chaos, I had an e-mail last year from lizardfootwear that gave me the local distributor e-mail address and a list of Blacks shops that were stocking them.
