Is the heart rate strap for the Forerunner 50 compatible with the 405CX?

My Forerunner 50 monitor worked with the 405.  And My partners Forerunner 50 monitor worked with his 310XT.  Hope this helps

Doesn't the 405 CX HRM have some sort of ability to do calorie calculations on it's own (with the watch) for use at a gym. Or something like that.

Having said that, any Ant+ device (Garmin) should be ok though I would have thought.
