On  a run today as the Garmin bleeped at the mile marker(programmed to do so), A message appeared on the screen saying something like LAP DATABASE FULL PLEASE..................................... I could not read the rest quick enough and carried on, all was ok and it has recorded and downloaded ok but it did keep displaying the message every mile.

Any thoughts ?

You probably need to delete some of the history. If you press mode to get the main menu and then go into history and in there are options for deleting...

If you want to keep a log of your history before you delete anything, don't forget to download data to Garmin Training Centre

My 305 went one better than that, I could virtually play Space Invaders on it the other day. It went off completely and wouldn't turn on, I couldn't remember which button to press to reset, so I sort of pressed them all.

It came up with a data screen, then a calibration screen (or was it that game where you shoot ducks through a sight) and then all sorts of patterns and tests.......

Really weird.

Many thanks for the help- schmunkee- the google was spot on, the second post mentioned the way you pause recording, then auto lap kicks in etc, this was the first time that I have run for a distance ie 3miles then stopped the timer, for 30 mins before restarting the timer at the start of a race, it was then during the race that the screen alerted me.

Anyway I think I know what the issue is, once again, many thanks.
