Does anyone with forerunner 405 have problems in the rain (even steady drizzle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Or even heavy sweat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????) Mine- omly 2 mnths old - constantly plays up, scrolling through screens, freezing, and not responding to taps on bezel or pressing buttons. Keep resetting, but REALLY don't want to do this all the time in important race!!! Would rather focus on running!!!!Is this common - would hope not for such a sum of money!!!!

I think they all have a problem when the bezel gets wet, the best bet is to lock it when you start running that way it won't be effected by rain/sweat.

Don't know why it would keep resetting though.

Xan - no I keep resetting it in the hope of getting control back - if you press both buttons for long enough it resets, but keeps memory, but will try your idea of locking bezel if that works---- great!!!!!! - THANKS!!

Is this common problem then?

Apparently so - the bezel is known to be a problem in the wet.

Just lock it before a run, no biggie

Agreed, no matter how in-sensitive you set the bezel to the touch when it gets wet it plays up.
Best solution is to lock it during the run. This wont stop the function of the buttons only the bezel so you can end your run normally before unlocking bezel again.

Yes you're not the only one. My goes loopy when it gets wet. Agree with keeping it locked.

Thanks everyone - will keep it locked - you don't know how much annoyance this advice will save me

If you lock the bezel don't forget to set it to auto scroll if you need to monitor more than one data field.

Good tip Mr Boat - thanks. Well, went for run in torrential rain today, locked the bezel as advised by you good people - and ---- not a peep out of it, despite the fact that the road turned into a river and water was coming up through the drains - result!!
