I have been running with the Garmin Forerunner 405 for the past year and half and really like it.
Although I have recently found the new Garmin Forerunner 220 and was wondering if its worth upgrading to.
The main reasons I'm looking at changing is the better battery life which has caused me issues in the past and the quicker satellite connections.
Has anybody made this change and can comment if they think its worth doing it?
I upgraded from FR210 to 220. I don't know how they compare to 405 but I am very happy with my new 220. The quick satellite connection is great, it takes max 10 seconds. Sometimes it locks on to a satellite even before I leave the house, if it just gets near a window.
I also like vibration alerts, I often didn't hear the lap-beep on my old watch.
And it is lighter and just looks and feels more modern and nice. Which also counts for something when you use it for hours every week.
So go on...Get one. You won't regret it!
Thanks for the reply.
I have ordered it now I don't I will regret I like the option of the Bluetooth update on my phone to track my runs.
