Garmin forerunner 610 repair

Hi, i was wondering if anybody has had a garmin forerunner 610 repaired by garmin and how much they charge?

What's the problem?  If it's the usual "not charging" problem then it's really easy to resolve yourself?  Mine is only a few months old and started to not charge - cleaned the contacts on the watch with electrical contact solvent cleaner and it was instantly fixed!

The Garmin 610 is still a fairly new model - even if outside the warranty Garmin have a fairly good reputation for still fixing or worst case offering a replacement at a very reduced price.  Problems relating to the corrosion on the back of the early models is generally always fixed for free.  The newer models have a plastic-type back (although it still looks like metal).

I've seen a 610 for sale that is faulty, the seller say's that it powers upto the garmin logo and that's it, so i thought if garmin don't charge too much to repair or replace then it would be worth getting if the price is right. I currently have a 205 and think it's time to upgrade.
