High viz running top / Pockets

I've just started running again after a 3 and a half year gap, and I'm looking for some new gear. I'd ideally like a high viz long sleeved top that has got a pocket that would fit a smart phone or iPod, but I can't seem to find anything suitable online that mentions pockets! Could anybody point me in the right direction?

Have a look in Sports Direct they often have loads of cheap hi viz stuff in there.
The other option, I have seen people doing, is to wear a hi viz waistcoat over your normal running stuff.

Thanks Millsy, I'll nip into Sports Direct when I'm next in town.

+1 for the hi viz waistcoat. You can wear it over any kit.

+1 for hi viz waistcoat.

Got a Nathan Photon LED vest for my sister for Christmas to wear over normal running gear. Not cheap but lights up like a lighthouse it is so bright and very light weight and breathable too.

I would rather wear a gilet / vest than a sleeved jacket. I have an excellent Gore running wear one, but these are pricey although it gets constant use and is wind proof.

As for the phone, well I find a small running bumbag type thing is great, one that is just the right size for a phone and couple of gels or ipod.

+1 for hi viz waistcoat...  It doesn't need washing very often so you wouldn't need multiple hi viz tops.

Also, +1 for bum bag / SPI belt...  Plenty of room for phone, iPod, a few gels, key, etc...  I think typically they're not waterproof so if it's likely to rain whilst your out then put your phone in a zip lock type bag first.

+1 for hi vis vest i picked mine up cheap in sports direct and now i can wear my summer rain jacket all year long so even if the vest was £30 it would have been a massive saving compared to two jackets.

if you just want to wear one layer, you could try a hi viz cycling jersey as they have a pocket at the back. I've a cheap one I got from Aldi, and it works well for both cycling and running

But the vest is cheaper and more versatile.

How about one of these???

I looked at them earlier in the week, & was quite impressed!

that is quite funky - but imagine its summer and you're headed out for a run after dark - would you want a jacket on ? The mesh vesty thing is much more versatile.

It looks good but looks like you may get very hot in it after a while and I hate faffing around with a hood.
