So i ripped all my cds to my iRiver, put it in it's case, selected Shuffle mode, and set off for a run. Trouble is, while I keep going (well for a little while) the iRiver doesn't. It seems to get stuck somehow and doesn't play tracks any more. Anyone else experienced this? Are these players not really suitable for running with? S'an awfully expensive radio otherwise.

I don't have an iRiver, but a much prettier iPod with a scroll wheel to die for.

But anyway...

My iPod skips/stops after about 20 minutes of being bounced in a pocket or hand etc. - it only has a certain amount of memory in it and no disk-based mp3 player can successfully read from the HDD while being bounced.

I have started to use a Tune Belt carrier which is a neoprene thing worn on the upper arm - there are other cases for the upper arm available. I find that it doesn't skip/stop after an hour or more of running when I wear it there.

Hope that helps...

yeah I saw the iPod thread... i might look into something like that thanks.

You and your cosmetics! "Prettier and a scroll wheel to die for" hahahhaa how about cheaper, more recording formats, realtime MP3 encoding direct onto the player. Not to mention a fully function remote control that has a display on it which will show you what track you're playing etc etc.

long live iRiver!
