Hi, i am looking for a specialist running shoes shop. i live in galashiels in scottish borders and was wondering if there are any such shops in glasgow or edinburgh. can anyone help please.

Run and Become in Edinburgh is just round the corner from Haymarket station (in Dalry Street, there's a map on the plarform). They are excellent and willlet you run up the street in the shoes (if it's dry) to try them out. All the staff seem to be runners, and know their stuff.

There's also a Sweatshop in the Next Generation gym at Newhaven. They have the Adidas footscan equipment and will let you try shoes on their treadmill.

I've used both Sweatshop and Run & Become and found them both really knowledgeable and helpful. For my money, the range of shoes and clothing is better at Run & Become.
