Anyone ever tried one?
I am looking to get a cheap treadmill for over the winter to make sure I keep a decent mileage and have been looking at manual treadmills as I havent got a great to spend or much space to spare.
Has anyone tried one before and what are they like?
Also are they very noisey?
They are horrendous for running on. OK for walking as your foot stays in contact with the ground long enough to shove the belt along.
If your budget does not stretch to a treadmill with a motor, then either join a local council-run gym (or see if the leisure centre does pay-as-you-go usage), or invest in some warm running kit
Gym membership would be cheaper to have access to a decent treadmill.
