Since leggings for men are apparently the thing to wear, according to the fashion world, it should no longer be such a fashion faux pas for men to wear running tights, knickers, capris and the like, right?

Time for a christmas present?

I didn't think it was a faux pas for men to wear running tights - while they're running, at any rate!  Surely you should wear what is appropriate and comfortable for the activity?

It isn't a faux pas for men to wear running tights, either full length or 3/4. It is just a few odd people who seem to think so.What is a faux pas is running tights with shorts over the top.

I agree it's not a faux pas but I seem to remember many people think otherwise. As re shorts - have a look at Salazar in Gateshead world cross cross country in 1983 with singlet, shorts and black meggings

Wear whatever works for you for running but leave that sort of thing in the sports bag!

IMO there aren't that many ladies that look good in them (and I freely admit I'm one of those that don't), let alone men.

The guy in the Guardian actually has quite nice legs and they don't even look right on him

Yeah, a bald man with long hair looks ridiculous. What's more, it takes attention from his shapely legs!

He can get away with meggings. But otherwise they are only good for hipsters in oversized retro glasses, advertising agency workers, capuccino drinkers, vegetarians, Guardian readers, fixie riders, skinny-leg chino wearers and other types who are good with colours and enjoy shopping.

In my ever so 'umble opinion.
