Hi,

I am interested in buying a HRM, in particular a Nike Triax 15 (£79). Does anyone have experience of Nike HRMs or this particular product...any other recommendation would be great, I don't want to spend more than £100.

Don't know anything about Nike range. Can recommend Polar - pukka bits of kit

KanMan - It looks and feels good but it doesn't record your average heart rate as a figure (it has a graph display of your heart rate over the session). I took mine back and have now bought a Polar M51 which I am very happy with. You can get the m51 for under £100 if you shop around.

hi there

we sell polar, timex and nike. We get more complaints about the nike ones than any other. I would stay clear of it if i was you cos it is not a reliable HR monitor. The polar are so much more superior. I have used one for about 8years now and never had any problems. The nike watches are made by seiko and serviced by them. Sadly their customer service has left a bit to be desired too and expensive when the watch is out of waranty.
I hope this is of some help.

Aren't I glad that I searched before posting. I too am interested in the above watch, and find the posts above usefull, however. I find the polar HRMs ugly, and I know that function is of the utmost importance here, but I intend to use the watch element, as a day to day watch. Which of the polars would people recommend for the above price range. And does anybody know of an alternative, that is more aesthetically pleasing. Of course, this is just my opinion.
