Hello everyone,

I was looking for some advice or personal preference on post running footwear.

I hear different people suggest all sorts from sandals to barefoot. I'm looking for something I can slip on after a race to give my feet a break.

I've seen these from Solomon, which aare supposed to be before and after sport shoes:

you don't need anything special - just comfortable.  don't waste your money on anything special

Thanks folks. To be honest, i did think it was a bit of a gimmik but I mainly wanted to see what other people did. I used to just keep my shoes on I ran in but I don't want to do that anymore. What do you all wear?

depends on the weather and what I'm doing.  at home - barefoot or slippers; out - fit flops or another pair of comfy footwear in colder weather

Thanks for this. I think flip flops are for me. I spend 90% at home in barefeet but wanted something when I'm out and after a race.

I said Fit Flops - not flip flops.  they are the much comfier - and much more expensive versions - of flip flops.  www.fitflops.co.uk

Ah, thought that was a typo. Look comfy but not cheap

some on sale at the mo though....half price for many styles

believe me, once you've tried them you'll love them.  I now have some fitflop shoes - on my feet as I write

"recovery shoes"...this really is a gimmick...flip-flops, sandals, slippers...anything that feels comfortbale is fine...

Thanks guys. Slippers, GENIUS, never thought of that. Although I'm barefoot at home so will need to get a pair.

Crocs flip flops in the summer, cant beat the crocs  and I have a pair of NB 110's that sit in my car that i use the rest of the time, they are comfy to wear without socks, for some reason i never took to running in them but they are my favourite post run shoe if it's too cold for flip flops!!!

And don't forget the essential post-run lung-reoxygenator...
