For the road bits in my off-road runs/races
I train and race mainly off-road but sometimes I need to run on a road or 2 to get to the trail/grass/mud areas I like to run in. Also, I was in a race last week (80/20% off-road/road split) in my Brooks Cascadias which I find great for off-road in all weather conditions but slippery on the road bits (because they're not meant to be used on road). I also have some Salomon XA Pros which are OK on road but give me a bruised toenail on one foot if I run over a certain distance or race in them.
I'm doing a race in December which is 50/50 road and trail, so I'm hoping to find a suitable pair which can cope with both terrains.
Can anyone recommend a good multi-terrain shoe? I'm a woman with narrow feet BTW. Thanks.
Adidas Kanadia are good. Have a pair of these as well as the Salomon XA Pros. The Adidas are slightly softer and bouncer and better on tarmac. However, they tend to get clogged up when it is very muddy.
