Running Shops in New York - Gear

Hi there, Does anyone have any tips for any good running shops in New York? I'm going out there next month and I want to see if running shoes work out much cheaper over there.

There is chain in the North East called City Sports which has an excellent running section wth good clothing and shoes.#

Their NYC Store is at 153 East 53rd Street.

Are you going to run the NY Marathon?

If so there are a number of shops that exhibit at the exhibition.

The funny thing is they are not allowed to sell from there but they lay on free buses which will take you to their shops. I found that most running things are at least the same price as here - some more expensive.

Thanks - unfortunately I'm there the week after the marathon - bad timing, would have been cool to see it!
