Salomon crossmax or Brooks cascadias

I'm working in the States from Sunday and thinkincheaper there than UK(Tight git I know). I currently have Inov8 Trailroc's but after three or four weeks I can feel my toes touching the ends when I put them on...almost like they have shrunk. Seen as I now run from door to trails and do canal runs I figured a more hybrid shoe would suit but then again I would like to try the Brooks.

Any thoughts or opinions from people who have had/got either of these ? The brooks would be the new Cascadia 8 if REI have them in stock like they say
