Boring I know but which are the best long distance socks out there on the market?

Hi Kev, there was a recent thread on this, though I am having trouble locating it. Personally I use Thorlos and have never had a blister.

I've tried Aldi's crane socks, hilly mono skins, sky runner,1000 mile but my two favourite makes (which I've recently discovered) are Thorlos and running bear. They are both comfortable and I haven't had any blisters since using either makes.

Think I may have to invest in some of these Thorlos socks - I get a recurring blister in the same place after every long run wearing Nike dri-fit socks! So annoying!

Falke RU3 or 4

Depends on which shoes I'm wearing

I seem to wear just about any sock.  I prefer the thin cycling style socks though - they seem the best.

I'm a big fan of Aldi's Crane socks too, but they never seem to have them in when I look ny more - you have to be there on the exact day they appear to get them. Any idea if you can get them elsewhere, or is Crane their own brand?

I'm with Sean G and B on this one...Thorlos (mini-crew) are the best socks (IMHO) and i've tried a few over the years.Wish i had a £1 for every time i've said that...

X-Socks Rock!

1000mile Tri socks are the thinnest and most comfy. Like running with the freedom of no socks but the blister protection of lots of sock.

I'm loving the x-socks sky run socks. Never yet had a hot spot, let alone a blister! 2 marathons, 1 Ironman (cycling as well!) and the thames ultra (50 miler), among many miles of training.

But we all have different feet and gaits, so whatever works for you. It's totally personal.
