What about the Dunlop black plimsoles with the elasticated front, do you think they would be ok for running a half?

Well they never did me any harm for my PE lessons at school, so I reckon you'd get away with it.

Could I also point out that after running the Tesco race for life in a new pair of 14 hole Dr. martin boots I had serious blisters. Imagine my suprise when after running the London-2-Brighton in the very same pair I had to have both feet amputated!

What about those baseball boots that you used to be able to get from Woolies? They had ankle supports and everything.

After I'd just the the Comrades in my ski-boots, I discovered I'd got trench foot and I had to have the lower half of my body amputated. I survived to run it again the following year though.

:)

Oh I used to have a snazzey pair of bumper boots! In fact if I've still got them, I'll train in them tonight, they are only 6 sizes too small, should be ok though.

Make it a short 10K Caz, a long one could lead to problems!

Now can we please stop all this silliness. There are some perfectly good underwear threads which are in danger of being moved off the first page!

FF did the lower part of your body grow back in a year? I'm impressed!
17/10/2003 at 07:45
Yes, but it was a different size.

Just bought myself a pair of http://www.dunlopdirect.com/Dunlop-Green-Flash-Lace-1555/PID/1 and they are the most comfortable running shoes I've had in years regardless of the price range which is very good.
