The majority of water bottles that I own seem to leak/dribble whether they were freebies or bought and paid for. This includes my TORQ and SiS ones. Are there any normal bottles that don't or is this just the way they are and you get what you pay for. I prefer the ones with a rubber nipple rather than the guard plastic one. Cheers.
My camelbak bottles are very good; certainly better than the SiS ones I have. They meet the brief of having a rubberised nipple too!
Are the camelbak bottles hard plastic or can you give them a squeeze ?
They're soft enough to squeeze, whilst sucking on the nipple.
Best I have is dirt cheap tesco bottles don't leak but after about six months stick and get hard to open, but at £2 each they are a complete bargain.
None of my water bottles leak? Is it something you are doing to them? over tightening and mucking up the thread? Biting the nipples? Something to do with the way you was them, seals perishing? just a thought. I'm careless with mine and they often kick around on the floor before I empty them out. Never had any accidents or spills from them.
There's some Freudian stuff on this thread.
It must just be me then. I don't chew the nipples although I find that the harder ones do tend to leak more and I end up with it dribbling down my chin from the base of the nipple. Normally fairly careful about how I screw, and dont tend to overdo it.
I'll give the cheap Tesco ones a try and then probably fork out for a Camelbak one. Of those that leak, I have one FitnessFirst one, one TORQ one, one of my two SiS ones, one my son got from the QPR shop, and severals we got from the Big Bike Bash.
Never had a standard style drinks bottle that doesn't leak. I always use old 500ml coke bottles now.
