5K Time Trials

As a beginner I am only just starting to include time trials in my training. I have run a number of 10K races but never completed a 5K time trial.

How can I calculate a realistic time to aim for, when running my 5K time trial? Is there a way of calculating what I should be aiming for by using my best 10K time?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

According to Frank Horwell your 5k time should be 16 seconds per mile (or 4 seconds per 400 meter lap) faster than your 10k time.
Mine isn't!!

I have found the following race time predictor to be pretty accurate.
