Is Barry in Dumfries with Dawn, Smiggy1959 (which Marathon was he meant to be running?) or has he made it to the South Coast with BigTel?

Stu just in case you had not worked it out JFDI is also the current Mrs Pooh

It looks like your taking Barry around London in late April so that should be fine to get him onto us after then if you pmail me nearer the time I will send you my address. Unless we can arrange to collect him from you after VLM maybe.

Barry has just returned from running the Singapore Marathon.

He is suffering from dehydration and sun stroke and needs a bit of a rest although he should be well enough to be on his way in the next few days to David Lewis 77 (for parkrun on Christmas Eve). It was all his own fault! Instead of getting a drink at drink stations, he opted for tiger balm muscle rubs!

Great stuff - I will contact you near the time. Don't plan on spending much time walking around London after tbh

Hi Simon. I think the feeling is that we will be doing more diary entries. We did look at 2012 but nobody wanted to initiate and my mental health has been such that I could not really face starting one off.That is not to say if somone would start an event,it wouldn't happen and I would not help. I thought about Barry following the baton but thought he may get hot headed

I have Barry for VLM on 22nd. It is quite possible if Antwerp is on 29th April but you would then have contact MF7 as it depends on when he is setting off to OZ (is it 2nd of May or earlier?)

I need barry's help....

The olympic torch is getting on a bus from Lancaster to Garstang!

I'm not to happy about that. Neither are a lot of other runners, who have started a rival torch/baton race round the country (sound familiar?)

The olympic torch is getting on a bus from Lancaster to Garstang! Stuff that! Join me at a silly hour in the morning to run the Lancaster to Garstang leg of the Real Relay, an attempt to run the full 8,000 mile olympic torch route non-stop with an alternative baton.

As its non-stop, the leg is forecast for 2.25am on 30th July but this may change depending on the speed of the previous runners.

I would love to get as many great Lancaster runners as possible to help run the leg with me (and a bigger group may help me a;not look insane on my own with a baton or b: get arrested/run-over). Please pass the message on to anyone who may be up for it.

Bring more batons/replica torches/lightsabers/barry? with you and i'll try and get the press.

About the Real relay:
