Iain - 200, what?!

Orbutt - it sounds like you're Dr No making a super evil mutant plan!!

RS - I think Iain was claiming post no 200.

More like Dr Maybe

Fantastic Sticky and good work Dotty....and just reading up after a weekend off-line and note also the impressive 200+ posts.

oh 200 posts...sorry, so used to the paris thread doing that in a day that it's only the 1000s that get me excited anymore.

Well done Sticky88! Will keep fingers crossed for you. Is it your running club that has organised the competition? Is it the same park run for next five weeks?

Thanks Dotty1. It's organised by Lucozade. Run or volunteer all 6 parkuns (any) until end of the year and we're in for a chance of one of 2 places at the VLM. 2nd chance for me after failing the ballot yet again!

My Berlin training must be underway - watched Run Lola Run last week...

DLR - it's on my to watch list but I've never got around to it. Must make up for that

Sticky 88 Sounds like you have a challenging but fun few weeks ahead of you. Hope you are looking after your legs this week, we want you to retain top of the table this weekend too!

Orbutt. Sounds like a good plan. Thinking of using P & D as well. Just trying to build a good base training at moment so I'm ready for a higher mileage plan than what I followed for Paris. Working on the job/ life/ running balance too!

I have previously followed the 'Run Less, Run Faster' sched....(but I really couldn't run any less than I am at present) -what is the P & D ?

28/11/2012 at 09:46

EHN - P & D is Pfitzinger and Douglas. They brought out a book called Advanced Marathoning which is very detailed - and a bit complicated - but includes a number of plans.

They definately do not belong to the 'Run Less...' school - in fact I cannot fit in some of the midweek mileages that make up their plans. This is why it is only part of my plan.

This might be of interest to some..though you'll have to cut and paste (can't seem to attach link)  or it can be found on the Berlin Marathon Site under 'service'

If anyone hasn't booked accomation yet, try looking at apartments, 4 of us are going and they are a lot cheaper than hotels.   Flying out Fri from Manc, coming back Monday evening.  2nd marathon, and looking forward to it.,

EHN. Thanks for posting info about the app. Have downloaded it already and saw the details of the breakfast run. It finishes in the Olympic stadium!

Anyone on the Lufthansa flights from Manchester, I have just had an email to advise of change of times from late evening to Lunchtimes

30/11/2012 at 15:15

Thanks EHN for the link, tho I can't download the app on mine as my phone is obviously not smart enough!

Sir John and dawsey67 , I'm flying out of Manchester on Friday too, although I've just got yet another email from Lufthansa with yet another change in flight times!!! Good news is I now managed to get direct flights with them that is of a sensible time . Until the next Lufthansa email....

Good luck dawsey67 with the London training. I'm looking forward to my 2nd of 6 Parkrun tomorrow to get in the chance for a VLM place!

Yup - got the change of times email too.

No major problem, just a bit annoying that they keep changing things
