Best one for me to date has to be the Hardwick X-Stream horse brass. Closely followed by Shakespeare 2011 (first ever marathon)

Although while we're talking about medal i do get annoyed at sharing. Shakespeare has Half and Full on it. MK half just has Festival of running and is given to 10k'ers....

Not sure about the best... but my worst by far was the 2008 Berlin Marathon, featuring a truly awful portrait of Haile Gebresellasie etched into it:

Incidentally, I view medals largely as junk, but can't quite bring myself to chuck them out. Does anyone else just throw them away?

The dymock half marathon medal seems to have a load of 70's porn stars masquearding as runners on, (who drew the shorts on the runner on the far right with the black top / white shorts! )

I really liked the Lincoln 10k medal this year. The worst i have is last years Bridlington half, (It wouldnt looked out of place as a 1 mile kids fun run medal). Mind you after seeing that Gebresellasie medal id have to say that is the worse ive seen.

I was thinking the exact same thing after completing my first race, the BUPA London 10K. Which races do have the best medals? Glad someone else had the same thought process.

Disney medals are awesome. I normally like the EMF ones but this years one was a bit phallic to say the least. Edinburgh Rock n Roll HM medal is pretty tasty too.

Nice edinburgh rock n roll medal.am signed up for two rock n roll halfs next year in san diego and seattle so hope medals stay high standard.saw pics for th rnr vegas run and its glow in the dark!american medals are the best and over the top!

The Royal Parks Half Marathon is my favourite so far, the medal is a wooden leaf shape.
