Ooh it's on iplayer - will watch it tomorrow: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01ktdr7/Born_to_Run_The_Secrets_of_Kenyan_Athletics/
Really enjoyed it. Very good programme.Amazing the 'production line' of world class runners they have.
What an 1988 Olympic Games in mens running that school had.
This may be an odd detail to pick up on, but the sound quality of the backing music was excellent. (Damn, I've got good speakers!)
Great programme, covered similar ground to the book More Fire: How to Run the Kenyan Way but it was good to see the actual training. "Rudisha's looking a bit sluggish today"... yeah, course he is.
good programme, tis on iplayer if anyone missed it.
I shall build a time machine so I can go back and record this. Just hope the VHS deck makes it back with me in one piece. Maybe there is another solution, just can't think of it right now....?
from what i understand of time machines(from listening to ProfBrian cox) you can only go forward in time.
as to another possible solution...
BBC4 tend to repeat programmes for a couple of days or even a week after the first showing. The repreats tend to be in the middle of nigh, say 2:00 or 3:00.
Would be worth checking the listings for a couple days forward.
Thanks for the link, think I'll go for a relaxed run now
