I'd call myself a beginner at all this running but feel ive acheived so much in such a short space of time.
Last night i opted to leave the car at the office and ran home (an almost 6mile course) as luck would have it I had my running gear in the car. I think it could become a regular occurance in these 'summer' months.
From someone who hated anything athletic at school, 10 years later, im finding running really enjoyable, Ive covered 45miles in 8hrs 49mins so far
Anyone else commute in their running gear?
I work in Chiswick and live in Slough, so a few times I've run the 16 mile picturesque route on the A4 past Heathrow. At the end my ankles are always black.
I cycle to and from work. I somethimes run but it's not really doable that often. My current commute is between 11 and 13 miles and I often only work a 6 hr shift so I'm not up for 26 miles in one day. No trains or buses, well not if I don't want an hr on the bus just to get 3 miles closer to work.
I have an xc route planned that is only 8.25 miles but it does need to be dry otherwise I'll be running underwater.
