cycling in manchester tomorrow

realised i have 3 hours to kill tomorrow afternoon in manchester..so where would be the best place for me to park free and then go for a bike ride..............is there somewhere great..or is it a case of noting where it would be safe to avoid........

It's going to be freeeezing tomorrow - you could ring the velodrome and see if they can squeeze you in they have taster sessions 12-1.    

i would love that popsider but just a bit too early.will still be travelling up.I'm dropping my son off at 1:30......might look at the swim and run option

Parking for free will be interesting.....

Manchester and Liverpool have some of the highest parking charges I've seen outside London.

I'd drive out of Manchester 15 mins to Heaton park and ride in safety, plenty of paths and trails

I park for free on Ordsall Lane in Salford and walk into Manchester, about 10 minutes to Deansgate.

If you decided to run then River Irwell, Ashton or Rochdale canals offer good routes without any traffic and few people. Might be a bit slippy today though.
