If I manage to get out for ealry morning run, it means I have managed to get up pre-5am, have sneaked downstairs and got my kit on and rushed outside back door. Anything more than a quick 1/2 glass water, then one of the kids will have woken up, and I caanot go (the norm over the last few weeks). Problem is, once I've missed a feew I get out of the rhythm...
Anyway, for longer runs, it is noce to have some water/juice/whatever, and a few jelly beams or glucose sweeties.
