I was trawling the web for something else and I came up with this link to a list of the worlds weird and wonderful running events. I'm not technically minded enough to post a link direct so copy and paste the attach to your address line:

A lot of the events are pretty average but some look interesting.

Martin, liked the sound of the one in Norway that runs "from the Glacier to the North Sea" Do you think it might all be downhill? If so then that's my sort of marathon.
