Hello,

I was hoping you could help me, I am pretty bored of my current running tracks and was hoping you kind people could suggest a unique song to run to. I was thinking along the lines of tracks that aren't so commercial or well known.

I enjoy running most to hard rock and particular enjoy this one

Ha! Ha! Pete - I run to Flogging Molly too!! Thought I was the only one!  For me though it is the Gaelic connection not the hard rock one.  You could try some of the Pogues - "Sally Maclennane" or "Streams of Whisky". Foo Fighters "All of my Life", "Long Road to Ruin" or "The Pretender".  For quieter moments and an 8.5 min mile pace my all time favourite is "Run into the light" by Runrig (yes I'll admit it!).  the lyrics are particularly uplifting on a long easy run through the forrest.

PS - have you tried "The Devils Dancefloor" by flogging Molly?  Brilliant running track!

I love : Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by The Flaming lips - not rock but it is just such a weird song that is catchy and awesome to run to.

Anything by Within Temptation - the Black Symphony album is the best.

Yoshimi is a great track bandicoot, i dont really listen to music whilst running but often before or in the car on the way to races....Muse's 'Knights of Cydonia' always has me feeling like i could kick Gebrselassie's ass

How about All These Things That I've Done and/or Mr. Brightside by The Killers?

I run to Dropkick Murphys a lot, their cover of Fields of Athenry is probably my favourite track to run to. I find the best thing to do for training is to put my iPlod on shuffle, tend to get a boost when a pleasant surprise comes on.

I also really like running to The Loved Ones and Love Equals Death.

Nah, for something different you want to be running to Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots part 2.  Find a steep bit of downhill to complete the full chaotic effect.

TUUUNE!

LOL Phil - that is bizarre.

I always find myself speeding up a bit when Big Soul - Le Brio pops up on the shuffle.

Weird, yes?

The thought struck me as I read that, wouldn't 'Wires' by (nu pun intended) Athlete be similar??
