Good Idea WiB,

I'm sure there will be a pocket of sorts in his pink Ostrige suit

DF3 - I don't think your phone battery will last long enough for you to be able to do provide live updates throughout the event...

I imagine it will be an Emu suit?

If you can't get the pacing right to make it to the station on time, I envisage a problem doing back to back half marathons

I have not missed the train once in over a year

so David.you are quiet.are you still out running........

come on.you know we are dying to follow your training plan so that we too can become great runners

06/04/2013 at 22:50

Im going to go for a run tomorrow

If all holds up then I shall be back doing my regular 13.1 mile long runs within a week

In fact, for a laugh I might just never go further than 13.1 miles at any stage up to the day of the race just to see what happens on the 5th May.

your regular 13.1 miles......

can you clarify if you have done these once a week for 3 years or if you have done this distance 1

07/04/2013 at 09:24

Seren, I think he means his regular up to 13.1 mile runs.

07/04/2013 at 10:32

Ok when I say regular ......... I did it a couple of weeks ago and I think once last year in November ...... or was it October?

07/04/2013 at 10:38

with that sort of heavy mileage, make sure you take a long taper going into your double half event, we dont want you over trained and tired

07/04/2013 at 10:43

Dont worry Dean ...... Im finishing off my 3rd croissant as we speak ........... although I did have to go up two flights of stairs unnecessarily this morning because I forgot I left my phone on the charger this morning. Doh!!

07/04/2013 at 13:21

damn! thats frustrating, all this hard work being undone by over training.

perhaps ease off on any exercise planned later this week to counter the unfortunate stairs incident.  or how about sleeping downstairs, or geting someone to carry you upstairs next time.

07/04/2013 at 14:40

Better get some quality calories on board too David - lard sandwiches and deep fried Mars bars should have you fighting fit by race day.

07/04/2013 at 16:06

If you do turn up to run this marathon David i will predict that  you will not complete the course in under 5 hours.

and i'm being kind to you.
