I am doing the GNR this year as my challenge - never done a 1/2m before but I am more concerned with the logistics of the thing more than anything!! I am getting the train to Newcastle for the start and have parents picking me up at the end - but where is the best place/timing for them to park and is it really that bad to get out of South Shields? My dad doesn't have much patience at the best of times!!!! Should I get the train home too??!!!
