Under ten miles please
Forgive me, for my engish-I am in Yorkshire now and would like to run a smooth course as a race or even a run! 12K+ please any advice...
Haha! I mean flat not smooth-no hilly bits
Get yourself an Ordnance Survey map of where you live, 1:25000 scale, and look for public rights of way, or named footpaths. If you want roads, use Google Earth to see if they have pavements. Or run on roads less than 12 feet wide; there's generally very little traffic on those and you can hear it coming. Use www.streetmap.co.uk to see what you get, or http://openmaps.the-hug.net/ if you want to print a sample.
Where abouts in yorkshire? Head east. Once you get past Doncaster/Selby then it's all fairly flat.
Or Abby Dash in Leeds is a fast 10k.
