...in the winner's enclosure at the Great Manchester Run and I shook his hand. What a nice guy.

Goes off to be a drama student and ordinary runners just aren't good enough any more

i just had to google who he was

mind you I would rather run than watch others run whoever they are

Hate to tell you but I met him at the British 10k the year he won it.
Cross the finish and as I pass, there he is. I went up to him, shook his hand, had a picture
taken, signed my race number and had a chat too. He is one of the nicest you will ever meet.

Well, I shook his hand, had a chat, took photos, signed race numbers...... then gave him a lift home and he's still at my house now.... we're going for a run tonight   I might keep him........

I know its shameful and I've also gathered that hes pretty special   I also can't help but wondering if Ive met him like so many people in this thread and just never noticed.

I have a feeling that perhaps he was that slim fella I passed during my last 10k
