Is 13:38 a competitive 5k time for 16 year old

Wondering whether or not I should seriously take up running

Plodder: He is only 16 and it's off natural talent...

Wow. He needs to get down to 13:24 for 100%. He's probably capable of that with just a little bit of training. Tried to put in a quicker time but quickly deleted it as the computer started to overheat.

Plodder: Yeah with 1 or even 2 track sessions and a longer run per week he'll do that no problem

As he's just doing it off of 'natural ability' he'll need to be careful he doesn't pick up any injuries if he starts training.

Nothing like a sweeping statement, is there ?

Why? Does Matt's talent make you feel unworthy?

He'll be back on when he has proof.
Just like Barton Runner said!

I am sure Lance Armstrong's Doctor could sort him out

Judging by the lack of replies it seems more likely that Michael Jackson's Doctor has got to him.

I imagine matt is currently licking his wounds. Having gone from a time that would have comfortably won Olympic gold in 2012, he would have been no where in the recent world championships, a good 12 secs from glory. He is probably sat there scratching his head in confusion and menacingly shaking his fists in frustration.

So Mo's put Matt in the huff

DT19: Yeah but if he'd won in Moscow, it would have put pressure on him for the rest of his career...
