tomorrow I'll be 40 so I'm feeling  a bit nostalgic today!  Of all the things I got up to in my 30's, running is one of the best ones!

I started last May and as I was out this morning in the mud and rain I felt like a proper runner....

Happy birthday for tomorrow yer_maj!

I'm in my 40's and I've found my running has actually improved, so you have much to look forward to.

well done YM

Running will see me into my 40s - in the next few weeks and it has definitely helped me get more out of life. medals, blisters, bloodied nipples and women!!!!!

Here's to the next decasde, long may the knees hold out.

Thank you!

Really looking forward to it - the continuation of running and being 40!  I've never felt fitter either physically or mentally than I have done over the past 6 months.

You're a veteran now!

I ran my first race as a veteran - that seems so wrong.

Congrats yer-maj - I only started running at 38½. Now turned 43. The PBs keep rolling in. I can still run much better than MOST 20 year olds, I have something called disposable income that eluded me in my youth and am very happy and assured in my self-identity - approaching middle age isn't so bad.

I've been 40 for 2 whole days now and I'm loving it so far.  I went for my first run as a Veteran (good grief!) this morning and my legs still seemed to work so maybe it's not all bad.....!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.
