Jelly Legs

When I run, sometimes I feel incredibly tired and my legs and arms turn to jelly after 20-25 minutes (i crave for something sweet). It sometimes passes if I continue. I average 4-5 miles and run between 35 - 55 minutes. Any ideas what is happening?

Well last night i had fish, chips & peas an hour before run. (cheese sarnie at lunchtime, bran flakes & yoghurt for breakfast)

Maybe you need more sugar?  Why not try taking lucozade with you or some sweets too?  It can't hurt.

Some medication can do this.  Ephedrine, often in decongestants / cough mixtures, make me tremble and go jelly'ish.
