London Marathon Ballot 2012 - General running

I have entered for the London Marathon for 2012 next year, and i am waiting for the ballot results but still havent heard anything yet, i know the results are in October.... How do i find out if i have got a place or not..???? cheers

You should get a magazine in the post. Mine only arrived yesterday though many people got them last week. I'd moved house and was told to ring thereafter the 10th to find out, so if you've not heard by Monday I'd ring up virgin. There's a phone number on the vlm website.

To quote an e-mail I received from VLM

"If you haven't heard anything by Monday 10th October please contact the London Marathon Helpdesk by calling: 020 7902 0200"

Did you pay at the time of entry?

I got a place & my mag came through last week, but I've also had a few emails saying congrats on getting a place & don't forget to pay for my entry.

You dont pay when you enter the ballot. You just put your credit card details so that if and when you get the place, they will deduct the money then. Or thats how I thought it worked?

Only if you were bequeathing - otherwise you are given a provisional place and then make your credit card payment.
