I've made Norah cry.

I'm a pig!
27/01/2003 at 18:15
chimp, you're confused, you're a monkey,not a pig - don't upset wee piglet too!
27/01/2003 at 18:19
Fair point Ironwolf.

Hey I looked on wee piglet's web-site today. Guess what? (whispers) she's not a real piglet. Dont tell her I told you though.
27/01/2003 at 18:29
Shh...guess what? I'm not a wolf either.
27/01/2003 at 18:30
No, of course you aren't.

You're an Ironwolf

(do I look daft??)

As soon as I get stuck at a meeting everyone drops by and I miss it all.

Iron Wolf. Not quite sure how to define 'mature'. Beyond puberty but not too old to have lost interest in all that it brings.
Doesn't immediately follow the latest trends but evaluates and adapts them to suit. Has worked out that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Nil sine labore.

There's no age limit. It's something that comes with experience.
Anyone got a more succinct definition?

TANSTAAFL's my motto, JJ.

Uh - chimp, do I have to answer that?
27/01/2003 at 18:40
Meerkat. Add Don Revie /Norman Hunter/Billy Bremner to the list.

Monique. Not seen you around these parts (if you'll pardon the expression). Will only allow war to be brought into it if we can assume that no-one goes back beyond Korea.
27/01/2003 at 18:42
Please, no war talk, I get enough of that at work
27/01/2003 at 18:46
Sorry Iron Wolf, someone else will have to ask.
Do you pronounce your real name 'led' as in oxide or 'leed' as in .........pee'd?
27/01/2003 at 18:48
It's leed as in 'leader' - but who said that's my real name?
27/01/2003 at 18:58
Iron W.
Just assumed that most people know what their name is. Don't tell me it's not real. You're not Barbara Woodhouse are you?
(Reincarnated of course).

We haven't spoken in an age. Give us a winner for tomorrow and I'll buy you a crate of Fullers 1845.
27/01/2003 at 19:03
A winner?? (chimp scratches head)

Ah yes, I remember them.

Hey it was nice going to York Racecourse yesterday and not going home skint!
27/01/2003 at 19:18
Was it shut?
27/01/2003 at 19:23
Chimp. Now you know about cut and paste you can prepare a day's postings in advance and do the lot in one go. No-one at work will notice.
27/01/2003 at 19:48
No JJ the brass monkey race started/finished there.

Like the cut and paste idea.

I've asked Ron how he gets about it.
27/01/2003 at 19:50
Hey JJ - of course I know my own name, it's you who doesn't.
