Y'day evening, 10k late on round Crosby Coastal Park & up the beach to log 42 miles for the week: a 5-miler and six 10ks. I blame the Streak!
8 mile LSR this morning. Really enjoyed it. Last long run before a 10k race next Sunday and then, it's all about the Bath Hilly Half in November.
Round Norfolk Relay. Superb club event, superb scenery, superb atmosphere. More laughs than I've had on a weekend for a very long while.
as for the running, managed 17k in 1hr 25minutes on 2hrs sleep. pretty pleased with this as it scales up to a massively improved HM time of 1.45ish, and, of course, it's a PB at 17k given it's the first and only time I'll ran that distance!
looks like we've all get lots of great races this autum, so good luck to everyone!
Sun 9:40 14 miles (2:40)
Distance pb for me today, first 9 miles felt good, last 5 were a struggle, weather was quite warm and a little overcast, would have loved a brisk shower in the last few miles
Morning. An easy 4M today done.
Stewart C: well done.
10 mile LSR yesterday. I must be getting fitter because I barely even noticed it.
Back from a week in Dartmouth. Blissfull runs along the river/coast including some good climbs at Blackpool and Slapton sands. Did 40 miles over 5 runs all at a slow pace with lots of stops for sightseeing and stone skimming. Wildlife - Heron, egrets and a seal!
8.8M this morning at an easy pace, back to intervals tomorrow and then taper for a 10K this Sunday.
Mon - 8.00pm - 1 hour on treadmill
Enjoyed concentrating on posture while running on an even surface - I find the treadmill useful.......in moderation
good effort everyone
Mon 3.3 miles ( 29 mins)
Run too and from gym, suposed to run it at an easier pace, I've noticed it's getting a bit chilly out!
5km 'Fun Run' in my village yesterday. Probably shouldn't have done it as I'd ran a HM the day before and I'm still not 100% recovered from injury.
Anyhow, ran it. Did a decent time (bit a bit slower than last year) and enjoyed myself.
4M Steadily done. Okayish run.
5m progressive run, splits were: 7:28 7:25 7:16 6:58 6:25
Took it a bit easy as I was concious I have intervals on Thursday, legs felt great though.
5k at 8 minute mile pace.Been a while since I've run as short a distance as that but I'm winding down for a 10K in sunday and I wanted to get one last tempo run in. I'm feeling confident for my aim of sub 50 on Sunday. It'll be hard but I think it's doable.
Some excellent running on here! I've not been on for a while. Did 3.5 miles on Sunday and 4 miles today.
Been offline for a few days but have continued training and racing, completed the Scottish Coast to Coast in just over 10 hours on Saturday by bike run and canoe which was an excellent event - Sunday's run was a struggle though. Managed a 10 mile steady state run on the treadmill today which although boring was just what the legs needed.
Hill session with club tonight. Preparing for my next half on the 7th.
Tues 5.46 (1:04)
A very slow 5 miler with jog scotland this evening, enjoyable run in good company.
4.5M Fartlek done. Ran it today and not usual Thursday session. So legs not stiff on Friday morning for drive to Ullapool.
