Post details of your last run and what you think of it
swittle- VERY impressive, and the mark of the beast...
I did my first tentative run tonight in two weeks, joined the beginners group at the club and did about 3.5 miles. It was pleasant and they were a nice bunch. So good to be back in the land of the living
hope the injuries clear up soon
Wed 7.00pm - 11.8 km (53 min)
coldest evening so far - well wrapped and high vizzed - easy run with a couple of efforts in the middle - felt reasonable
keep it going everyone
Surrey - ouch
Stunning morning to run. 6 miles steady run with some impromtu fartlek because the dog wanted to run like a bloody lunatic this morning.
Crisp, dry, still and fffffrrreeeezzzzing. Everywhere bedecked in a coating of white frost, the moon out as the sun rose, big and bright. Quite special, hard to feel more alive than running on mornings like todays.
speedy recovery, SR, and welcome back Nessie73 - in different ways, you've both got real determination!
club run last night with a friend who wants to move up a pace group to the 8-minute milers. we did Hyde Park/Green Park/St James Park for 11k at 5.15m/km (which is more like 8.22m/m). i enjoy her company so Wednesday nights are going to have to be more of an effort from now on!
I ran last night in the cold, will get back to mornings tomorrw and get in a sunrise over the hill i think as it's supposed to be clear..
Last night - 6.7miles all at an easy pace.
Keep on keeping on
About 4 miles round Wendover Woods and some of the fitness trail. Paths like wallpaper paste!
6.6 mile Tempo run. Still on the treadmill.
Cheers, DunkyD and Nessie - kind of you to say
6.30am and it was some way short of tropical on Crosby Beach. Even the Iron Men looked perished Anyhoo, a steady 10k around Waterloo & up the beach.
Keep it going, everyone!
Cold and frosty one again, brrrrr.
5M Fartlek done and I'm just thawing out
Beautiful this morning. The sun was yet to rise but the tree lined route I run along was lit up by the big, bright moon. Everything had an amazing white hue to it due to the thick frost being lit by the moonlight. Yeah, it was cold but cold in a good way. I could run in weather like that forever.
6 miles steady.
Rest up and speedy recovery SR.
Me- 5-6 miles easy garmin-free this morning.
Fri 7.00pm - 14km (garmin free)
warmed up after a few minutes - easy run - hat and gloves a must tonight -
looking forward to a few runs on the grass as it gets more icy - less slippy.
good running weekend
Sat midday - 6km tempo run (25 min) - didn't hold back too much
fancied a short sharp workout - need to be able to run quicker than this by Feb - felt like a good little effort - ran on woodland trail which was muddy so there is probably room for improvement timewise
dig in everyone
8.3 mile run that was supposed to be longer but was shortened and done at an appalling pace due to 2 hours of sleep and a hangover...
the joy of saturday
1st Dec - 2.18m - 20:18
Well hi everyone I am the originator of this thread, Jasban. I was just checking something and this thread was advertised so I thought I'd drop in. I have dropped off running some what. After finsihing the VLM in 2011 the running tailed off.
Today I went out in the freezing cold in the early hours up to the Woody Press and back. Afterwards I jumped on Kermit and went for an easy cycle to Hayes ?polish and home. trying to not slide off.
Keep on running!
hope to see you joining into your thread a bit more Jasban
Sun 7.00am - 13km (garmin free)
didn't really feel the cold - very slippy underfoot - had planned to do about double that distance but just didn't feel secure with my footing the whole way round - pavement and road were both treacherous - had rained just before I went out so it must have frozen quickly
still good to be out
safe running everyone
Similar yesterday for me Cidlad. Went out to do 16 miles but cut it to 12.5 because the ice was getting so difficult to run on the higher up I got I simply had to make the sensible decision to turn around and head home.
Freezing rain yesterday, most difficult run i've ever done. Looks better today, frosty but not as icy. 6 mile recovery due this afternoon.
10 miles this morning. 1hr 18. Slow as I spent all day yesterday in London on my feet and got back late!
