Post details of your last run and what you think of it
Ventured back out for a run yesterday morning, and ran a very sedate 3 miles. Heel seems ok, but I've been here before and been proved wrong!
Anyway, did some Pilates this morning to vary things.
Shouldn't really be posting on here as I don't have a run to report. Haven't been out for eight days now, since the Bath Hilly Half last Sunday. I decided I'd have a few days off after it to recover but then have been feeling rough ever since. Not helped by my baby sons stinking cold which means he isn't sleeping and so neither are we!
Anyway, I really do want to try and get out asap probably just for a four miler to ease back in. I'm posting this on here in the hope it may motivate me to get on and do it!
Good running everyone else. Makes me feel like a rigtht lazy arse!
6 miles last night. Cold innit!
Last night's 7.2 miles left me with a tweaked calf However, after ice and compression bandage had been deployed, I managed a distinctly tender 1.1 miles around the park before work at 7am. I'll need to resort to ten-minute Streaksavers for a while....
Hi guys, first post in this thread!
I did a cheeky 11.25k this evening - nothing special, but at one point I saw a group of about 15 kids out for a run (there is a big park with running track and sports centre very near my house so I assume it was some kind of club run), the vast majority of which had big smiles on their faces. That put a big smile on mine too.
Mornng 4M steadily and in parts slippery on frozen snow. Okay run mostly. Ran mostly off road as can see fields due to snow
6.5 miles with 12 x quarter miles at 6:40min/mile
Cold and dark - didn't even look light when I got back at 7:30. Any one else hear celebrate getting past the 21st Dec?
Good work all and welcome Steve loves bacon
7am and 2.3 hesitant miles run on the coastal park in Crosby. Windy & bitterly cold
Regents Park, Primrose Hill for 7.5k at 5.00 at 4.55m/km...beautiful bright day at lunchtime
Welcome Steve Loves Bacon
7.5 mile treadmill run this evening. Getting faster over the course of the run as I tend to get bored. 50 minutes total.
MattDA - get out there
DunkyD - roll on 21st
Slb - welcome - we love cheeky runs on this thread
Tue - 9.30pm - 5 mile (approx) - varied pace - miserable evening for run - splashed my way round - feel better for it
hope those MLR'ers who are recovering do so quickly
Matt- hope you've managed to get out for a run
Swittle- streaksavers sounds like a plan
Me- 3ish miles intervals.. short on time so aimed for quality. Twas pretty tough
5M on the snow. Freezing again. Slippy on the pathways so ran most on the grass.
Steve : Up in West of Scotland, Erskine to be precise. 13M ish west of Glasgow
Still not got out. I've had the cold full on last few days and by the time I've got home from work, I've just been too knackered. I'm going to force myself tonight though, as I'll be home earlyish. Even if it's a pathetic three mile jog/stumble, it'll be something.
birkmyre - Well, probably not as bad as yours but icy once again this morning. 6m steady, 1.5 with a very reluctant hound. Patches of ice rather than sheets of it this time but still not very running friendly.
This winter had been merciless on the runner so far and it's set to deepen and worsen. Lots of agreement forming on what's to come leading up to Christmas and it's pretty damn bleak.
Welcome, Steve loves bacon & thanks to you, Nessie: the sorter runs have helped and I managed 4 slow miles before 7am on a freezing cold, icy morning - which didn't affect Crosby beach btw
Keep it going, people!
Tues - 4.6miles 54mins
Jog Scotland 4 mile group, very slippy underfoot, the roads were worse than the pavements, happy to report no one slipped on their buts
