My Last Run

About 8 miles tempo today, wanted to do more but just didn't have time.

Loaded with cold so walk dog  a few times today to burn off cals.

100 mile drive followed by huge quantities of meat, vegetables, alcohol and flatulance.

About 10 of us. Rain and big puddles as the main course. Tea, coffee or mulled wine for dessert.

I finished mine first.

17 miles this morning. Xmas morning run is my favourite of the year!

Tue - 10am - 5 mile approx - in tow with Fudge (the beagle) - new lead which makes running with him so much easier - he runs well (straight and even paced) and is an excellent running partner

10k multi-terrain, Crosby Coastal Park - grumbling guttage rather spoiled the experience   However, plenty of cheery greetings exchanged with walkers, with our without dogs.

Oh, and not that I like stats, but it took me through 1900 miles for the year...

Went out for a 4.5 mile run around my local farmers fields which are flooded to say least.  Great fun loads of mud.  Back in time to make Christmas lunch.

6 mile cheeky Fartlek in the most torrential of northern rain storms.  I felt strong though so was beaming like a Cheshire Cat with wind.

10km plus Gibraltar Rock Race this morning, 14/15deg. approx 60 to 70 runners,

hardest part is the 1km climb through Dudley Ward tunnel but you come out to brilliant sunshine, sparkling sea and view to Morocco, also from this point able to see 1km ahead and no runners in sight,

still happy to improve on last years time by 3 mins,

looking forward to (slow) half marathons on the spanish coast in the spring 

17 miles clocked this morning, first few miles  weather was ok  and such beautiful views , the last 6 miles it decided to pour down, loved every minute . had a great run, happy running everyone.

4.5 miles in Epping Forest

Chevin Chase, Otley today: nearly 1000 runners, much fancy dress and oceans of mud as a change from the hills   7 miles in God's Own County!

12 mile mlr this evening.  Put 2.25 lbs over the last two days, now to work it off and get back down to serious marathon training.

5 miles at 7.30pm round the deserted streets of Crosby & Blundellsands.  Glad to have done this recovery sesh.

Thur 9.00pm - 4 mile approx (garmin free) with Fudge the beagle

over-indulged over the last few days - I feel like there is a 2 stone yule log working its way down my digestive tract

A week of easy running sounds like a good idea - enjoying just ticking over for a few more days - vouchers for a couple of running shops to be spent in the new year - haven't yet decided on what
