Post details of your last run and what you think of it
Agreed, cidlad Took on an equally powerful SW wind for 10.5 miles of XC, trails, roads & beach, my longest run for 3 months.
The Streak reached 700 days today.
Surrey- very impressive weekly mileage mate, in awe!
Baldie- thanks for sharing
Swittle- IN AWE!!!
Me- a really crap 5.5 miles this morning...
Christ on a bike Swittle, I don't know how you manage that. There are just some days where trying to fit a run in is damn near impossible.
6 miles steady today, starting to taper ahead of HM next Sunday now.
Thanks, Nessie & SB: it's so much a component of my life and helps me keep physically and psychologically well. btw this is edition 2: my first streak was ended by injury at 1315 days....
15 miles today. Awful weather, felt rubbish and drenched!
Still nice way to end the year This time in 2011 I broke my foot!
Closed 2012 out with 5 miles on the damp streets of Crosby & Blundellsands.
Who's running tomorrow?
Surrey - that's impressive stuff
Tue 9.00am - brought in 2013 with a gentle 9km - head not in too bad a state - feel as though it's time to get back to normal routine after an overindulgent festive period
wishing all MLR'ers a year of successful and ENJOYABLE running - may you all achieve what you strive for
Happy New Year everyone ! no alcohol at all for me well impressed, just a lot of chocolate.
Did 15.07 very slow miles this morning a good start to the new year now just need to lose the xmas pounds..
10K race for me this morning - not as fast as my last one but 38 mins is a good level to start the year with (and the course had more hills than I've done before on a 10K). HNY all.
My legs must know its meant to be a day off because they have gone rigid post race.
10 miles slightly hungover, lovely day for it!
lovely day for a hangover...or lovely day for a run??
spent the morning marshalling a 10k race in Hyde Park, then did my usual Tuesday run of Regents Park/Primrose Hill for 7k at 5.05m/km
I'm interested to know what goals fellow MLR-ers have set themselves for 2013. Personally, I'm targetting a sub-1.40 HM at Reading.
11 mile mlr run tonight. Had to make an emergeny stop at burger king (not to eat obviously) as wasn't fully recovered from previous night. Burger King toilets are disgusting.
My goal is to run London sub 3.
Good festive running all - I've moved so have been offline until EE pull their finger out.
My first goal of the year is to do Brighton in 3:20. Started a 16 week training plan last week and it's going well so far. It's a drop in weekly mileage but far more tempo runs
This morning was 5 miles at 7:38m/m or marathon pace - eek
Keep it up all and Happy New Year,
Wed 11.00am - 10.2km woodland trail
comfortable pace with Fudge the beagle - very wet and muddy on my last day off before work resumes tomorrow
feel as though my running fitness has taken a step backwards over the last couple of weeks - but the process of regaining it over the next few weeks is what motivates me
goal - to remain injury free and get under 40 min for 10k
13 mile medium long run tonight.
4ish miles Garmin free tonight. Pleasant / social with a friend.
Goal- to lose a stone and hopefully get some speed back in the next two months (speed is relative ). Then do my customary Easter local HM and try for a PB, which is a still very modest sub 2h 10m.
A late one: 5 miles through Waterloo & on to Crosby Coastal Park, including a stretch of Crosdby Beach, the dark punctuated by the orange floodlights of the Freeport.
